I love architecture and once I went to see the architecture tour at the Barbican Centre. I took a couple of photos and it was a fulfilling day, combining everything I love.
As a designer, I am passionate about creating visually compelling advertisements that capture the essence of a brand. My love for architecture and design inspires me to create unique and memorable designs that will leave a lasting impression on viewers. I believe that my skills and creativity can help elevate Barbican’s advertising efforts and effectively communicate the beauty and grandeur of the centre.
I thought that Barbican might need advertising that matches the greatness of the centre. I drew my inspiration from brutalism design, of course.
I used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign to create this advertising for Barbican. I also used my photos from that day and edited them in Photoshop. I added a crumpled paper texture to give it some life.
I love playing with different shapes, directions, large lateral fonts, numbers and colours that, when linked together, I believe fulfil the function of informing and entertaining at the same time.
